Swiss School of Management is officially recognized as an NC-SARA participating institution

We are pleased to announce that the Swiss School of Management is officially listed as a Participant institution in the registry of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), registered in the state of Texas and affiliated with the SREB (Southern Regional Education Board) region.

This recognition is not provisional, and the designated State Portal Entity is the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

What is NC-SARA and why does it matter

NC-SARA is a U.S. private nonprofit organization that oversees reciprocity agreements among states for the regulation of distance education. In practical terms, it allows accredited institutions to offer online programs to students residing in different states without having to seek separate authorization from each one, streamlining access and reducing administrative burden for both schools and learners.

Today, more than 2,400 institutions across 49 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands participate in SARA, serving over 1.6 million students enrolled in interstate distance education programs.

What this means for our students

The NC-SARA recognition brings concrete benefits to those studying or planning to study with SSM in the United States:

  • Easier access to online programs: students residing in SARA member states can enroll in SSM’s distance education offerings without additional bureaucratic hurdles.
  • Student consumer protections: NC-SARA enforces quality standards and transparent complaint resolution procedures, giving students a clear channel for recourse if needed.
  • National recognition: SARA participation signals academic credibility and regulatory compliance within the U.S. higher education landscape.

A further step in SSM’s international journey

This recognition is part of SSM’s broader commitment to building a genuinely international, accessible, and standards-driven higher education experience. Being part of the NC-SARA ecosystem strengthens our presence in the United States and provides greater assurance to American students who choose SSM for their academic journey. For more information about our recognized online programs, contact our admissions team or visit the official listing at nc-sara.org.
