The Swiss School of Management (SSM) is an accredited private institute of higher education founded in the last century in Switzerland. While the head office is still in Switzerland, in 2002 the School moved operations to the eternal city of Rome, Italy where it continues to successfully operate today. With the move to Italy, SSM students benefitted from EU policy which grants students the ability to travel and work without visa in 27 member-countries among the European Union. Still today, Switzerland is not part of the EU. To facilitate recruitment and allow foreign students to be closely followed by tutors and SSM Staff members, the school has opened more learning centers: Dubai (UAE), Bahrain (GCC), Cairo (Egypt) and Brescia (Italy).
The beauty of being in different countries, is to have a closer relation to our international students. Since most of our programs can be offered through online-learning, students appreciate the ability to be followed by local tutors and staff members. Our learning centers are also official examination centers where candidates can defend their final theses, dissertations, and projects. The aim of an international network is to give students a chance to travel the world, get exposed to new cultures & customs, and continue with their studies under the same academic roof.
Why Swiss Education?
Switzerland’s reputation of excellence is due to a highly qualified labor force performing highly skilled work. The source of this reputation is what Switzerland is known for – high quality education throughout Europe. When it comes to Nobel Prize winners per capita, Switzerland is head and shoulders above the competition – Since 1901, when the first prizes were awarded for physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature and peace, 24 Swiss have been honored. This continuous pursuit of excellence and perfection, has maintained both the reputation of Swiss quality and its position as a global player. Switzerland is regarded as one of the safest and cleanest countries in the world. It is ideally located in the heart of Europe with access to all major European cosmopolitan cities. The main industries are micro technology, hi-tech, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, as well as banking, hospitality and insurance know-how. The mission of the Swiss School of Management is to represent these values of Switzerland and carry them out into the world.
The Swiss School of Management has high academic standards and seeks to maintain these standards by recruiting high caliber students. In deciding which candidates should be selected, we look for evidence of academic knowledge in diverse fields such as English Literature, Mathematics and Social Sciences that are relevant to business studies, and candidate’s interest in the subject of business, management and leadership.
Entry is competitive, and we do our best to offer a place to the applicants who are the closest match to our selection criteria on the basis of all the information available to us. This includes exam results, educational history and any other factors affecting a candidate’s performance.
Our motto is: “We create Leaders”. We do firmly believe, that in a more and more globalized world, people need serious leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Only with those skills, we can differentiate each other from the upcoming Artificial Intelligence revolution. We believe that only through serious and consistent leadership and entrepreneurial skills, we can secure employment and global wealth for future generations.
