SSM and the Università Europea di Roma kicked off their Master in Criminology program this month with students from South America, the Middle East and Italy. Students will participate in special conferences and will have guest lecturers throughout the course, which will finish in November 2012.

The International Leadership Semester (ILS) was highlighted in an article in the Market Watch section of The Wall Street Journal Online. The article discussed the necessity for students to gain leadership skills in order to compete for jobs in today’s market. SSM would like to thank Helen Bannigan, CEO of Bannigan Communications LLC for her inspiring talk on cross-cultural coaching. Students learned about how cross-cultural coaches help employees transition into a new country and teach them about cultural norms, traditions and etiquette.

The Fall class trip to Florence and Bologna was a huge success! As part of their International Strategic Management course students visited Ferragamo, Nike and Ducati, and learned about various global corporate strategies. Students also visited Castel del Trebbio for a tour, wine tasting and cooking lesson. Yum!
