Today, our bachelor students from the Swiss School of Management Brescia had the opportunity to engage directly with the realities of Business Intelligence through an on-site visit to Pedrini 1942, one of the region’s most established industrial companies.
The visit provided students with valuable exposure to a company that combines strong local roots with a well-developed international presence, particularly in the cookware and production systems sector.
Accompanied by Flavio Faustini, In-residence Director of SSM Brescia and by Prof. Imelda Hertono, students participated in a series of sessions designed to bridge academic learning with real-world application. The experience included a one-hour talk led by the company’s leadership, offering insights into strategic vision, decision-making processes, and long-term business development.
This was followed by a focused session delivered by the Commercial Director for Asia and the Americas, who presented an overview of international market dynamics, global operations, and expansion strategies across different regions.
The visit represents a key component of SSM’s practical approach to business education, aimed at complementing theoretical knowledge with direct industry exposure. By engaging with professionals and observing real business environments, students are able to better understand how strategic concepts are applied in practice.
Such initiatives reinforce the importance of experiential learning in preparing students for the complexities of today’s global business landscape.
