We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Robert Gharios, Ph.D., as the new Executive Dean of the Swiss School of Management, effective March 1, 2024. This distinguished position was previously held with great success by Dr. Elizabeth Soliday-Naui, Ph.D., to whom we extend our most sincere gratitude for her exceptional contributions during her tenure. Dr. Soliday-Naui has chosen to focus exclusively on advancing the Swiss School of Management In-Residence Program at our Center of Excellence & Innovation in Barcelona, focusing on her role of In-Residence Program Director. Elizabeth will also maintain her role as a Board Member of the Swiss School of Management – Research Center.
Over the past three years, Dr. Robert Gharios has served with distinction as the Quality & Accreditation Director, demonstrating unwavering determination and commitment to elevate the Swiss School of Management to new heights. Following Dr. Soliday-Naui’s resignation, his exceptional leadership qualities have led the management to entrust him with the responsibilities of the Executive Dean position.
Dr. Robert T. Gharios, Ph.D., brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role as the incoming Executive Dean of the Swiss School of Management. With a distinguished academic background and a proven track record in leadership, Dr. Gharios is poised to make significant contributions to the institution.
Dr. Gharios has occupied prominent academic positions for several years, such as Dean of the Faculty of Business & Economics at the American University of Science & Technology (AUST). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the “Université de Bourgogne” in Dijon, France. He is a Board member of the International Accreditation Council of Business Education (IACBE) and is highly active in rendering peer review site visits. R. Gharios has several academic and research publications and is the author of real business cases and book reviews of well-known global publishers such as Pearson and Palgrave Macmillan. In addition, he is highly active in the Business community in consulting and professional training.
Dr. Gharios is certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) as well as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) by the Institute of Management Accountants and last but not least, a Professionally Certified Marketer (PCM) by the American Marketing Association.
Over the years, Dr. Robert Gharios has demonstrated a commitment to scholarly excellence and intellectual rigor. Over the course of his career, he has cultivated a deep understanding of the academic landscape, specializing in areas that align seamlessly with the mission and vision of the Swiss School of Management.
