The Swiss School of Management Rome is proud to announce the Start-Up for Impact Challenge, a new initiative designed to empower aspiring entrepreneurs from underrepresented and underserved communities. This unique competition offers full and partial MBA scholarships to individuals with the vision and determination to create meaningful change through business.
Driving Change Through Inclusive Innovation
At SSM, we believe that innovation flourishes when diverse perspectives are brought to the forefront. The Start-Up for Impact Challenge seeks to support early-stage entrepreneurs, especially those from migrant, refugee, and local changemaker backgrounds, who demonstrate a commitment to building socially or economically impactful ventures.
What could you win?
We are offering the following awards to outstanding applicants:
- 1 Full MBA Scholarship for an exceptional entrepreneur from a migrant or refugee background
- 1 Full MBA Scholarship for a Rome-based innovator with a strong business concept
- 2 Partial MBA Scholarships (50%) for high-potential runner-ups residing in Rome
Who Should Apply?
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have an early-stage start-up or a clear, actionable business idea
- Are committed to making a positive impact in their community or industry
- Come from underrepresented backgrounds in business and entrepreneurship
- Are motivated to enhance their knowledge through an internationally accredited MBA program
Timeframe
- Application Deadline: 11th July
- Shortlist Announced: 18th July
- Pitch Day (Final Presentations): 25th July at SSM Rome
Application Process
Interested candidates should complete the following steps:
- Fill out the application form
- Submit a one-page summary of their start-up or business idea (guidelines provided upon application)
- (Optional) Submit a 2-minute video pitch presenting their idea and personal motivation
Shortlisted finalists will be invited to pitch their ideas live at SSM Rome in front of a panel of judges.
