Honoring Italian American Legends of Business & Leadership
The Swiss School of Management (SSM), in partnership with the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA) Scholarship Foundation, is proud to announce two full tuition scholarships for aspiring business leaders of Italian descent.
To celebrate the enduring contributions of Italian Americans to global business and leadership, these scholarships are named in honor of two icons whose careers embody innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurship:
• The Amadeo Peter Giannini BBA Scholarship – Honoring the founder of Bank of America, Giannini revolutionized modern banking by opening access to working families and entrepreneurs. His legacy symbolizes opportunity, ambition, and the entrepreneurial spirit which are values that guide the Bachelor in Business Administration program at SSM.
• The Lee Iacocca MBA Scholarship – Honoring the legendary auto industry leader who rescued Chrysler and launched the Ford Mustang, Iacocca represents visionary leadership, resilience in times of crisis, and innovation at scale which are qualities that define the Master of Business Administration at SSM.
Purpose of the Scholarships
These prestigious awards aim to:
– Support outstanding students of Italian descent in pursuing higher education at the SSM Rome learning center.
– Celebrate the Italian and Italian American legacy of innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
– Build bridges between academic achievement and professional success.
Scholarship Terms
– Covers full tuition for the designated program (BBA – 3 years | MBA – 16 months).
– Excludes housing, living expenses, and related academic expenses, e.g., thesis/Viva Voce fees, etc.
– Awarded to one BBA student and one MBA student for the Fall 2026 intake at the SSM Rome campus.
Eligibility Summary
Applicants must:
– Be of Italian descent and demonstrate a connection to the Italian or Italian American community.
– Meet all SSM admissions requirements for the respective program.
– Submit a complete scholarship application including:
• Personal statement (500–700 words).
• Academic transcripts.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• Documentation of Italian heritage and/or community involvement.
– Participate in a finalist interview with the SSM Scholarship Committee (if selected).
